A Burlington man hospitalized after he became sick from vaping.
Patrick DeGrave, victim’s brother, stated that Those road vapes are very, very harmful. His brother almost misplaced his life.

DeGrave stated that The trauma that he caused to his lungs is significant; the injury that he prompted to his heart is substantial.
Patrick DeGrave’s brother went to Aurora Memorial Hospital in Burlington after he had points breathing. At first, doctors thought it could be pneumonia; however, quickly realized it was something else.
DeGrave stated, “Those vapes can value you your life.”
DeGrave says it was a vape cartridge that contained THC that took his brother’s health.
DeGrave mentioned that Within 24 hours he was being medically sedated and being put in a medically induced coma.
DeGrave says his brother — who’s in his mid-20s — purchased the vape vials off the road. His warning comes on the same day doctors at Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin issued a similar alert.
“Vaping in teenagers is one thing that is harming our kids, and we wish that to be loud and clear,” said Dr. Michael Gutzeit, chief medical officer.
Youngsters’ Hospital handled eight patients in merely four weeks with extreme lung damage. All had the common thread of vaping.
